Respected Citizens & Colleagues of Mardan
"As I bid farewell to Mardan, I do so with a heart full of gratitude, pride, and deep affection for this remarkable district and its people. Serving as Deputy Commissioner Mardan has been one of the most enriching experiences of my professional life. Mardan is a district steeped in history, blessed with natural beauty, and distinguished by its unique geography. But more than that, it is the people—civilized, educated, and immensely cooperative—who make it truly special.
I have been privileged to witness the political coherence and maturity of Mardan’s leadership. The consistent support and constructive engagement from our political figures (MNAs/ MPAs) greatly facilitated the execution of government priorities. Together, we were able to move forward with a shared vision of progress and public service.
The support from the Commissioner’s office remained a constant source of strength and encouragement throughout. Moreover, I extend my sincere appreciation to all line departments— Police, Health, Local Government, TMAs, Education, Sports, Social Welfare, Public Health Engineering, Communication & Works, Revenue, and WSSCM —for their unwavering collaboration and commitment. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of my team— ADCs, ACs, AACs , and all field officers—whose efforts ensured timely compliance of both provincial and federal government tasks, including the AWAMI AGENDA and other flagship initiatives.
Additionally, I appreciate the role played by the local media ( press club , social media print& electronic ) during my tenure. Their objective reporting, constructive feedback, and engagement helped foster a sense of transparency and accountability, which was instrumental in promoting good governance and public awareness.
I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to the people of Mardan for their warmth, hospitality, and cooperation. Their resilience, optimism, and community spirit have been a constant source of inspiration. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served this community and to have been a part of their lives, even if only for a brief period.
Mardan indeed is a multi-dimensional, dynamic society—rich not only in resources but in potential. I leave with the firm belief that this district is poised for even greater achievements, powered by the collective will of its people and institutions. As I move on to my next assignment, I carry with me fond memories, valuable lessons, and a lasting connection with Mardan. I remain ever grateful for the kindness, cooperation, and respect I received during my tenure here.
May Mardan continue to prosper and shine as a beacon of administrative harmony, civic sense, and developmental excellence.
With warm regards and heartfelt thanks,
Dr. Azmat Ullah Wazir Ex-Deputy Commissioner, Mardan
