GOVERNMENT'S STANCE ON OUTSOURCING LOW-PERFORMING COLLEGES AND EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Sports

Instigating students and politicizing government initiatives for hidden motives, thereby sabotaging efforts to improve quality education in remote areas, is unacceptable and against public interest.
It has been observed that few of our Principals and faculty members have committed this offence knowingly or unknowingly.

While we remain committed to engaging with faculty to address their genuine concerns but we will not tolerate illegal and unethical pressure tactics specially using students and community for their on motives .

Let's work together to enhance education, not hinder progress.

Government's Stance on Outsourcing Low-Performing Colleges

Clarification: The government is not privatizing or leasing out its colleges. Instead, we are outsourcing operations and maintenance services to private sector professionals while retaining ownership, monitoring, and control.

Why Outsourcing?: We've identified colleges that need improvement based on the following criteria:
1. Low student enrollment
2. Weak administration and academic performance
3. Difficulty managing colleges in remote or rural areas
4. Underutilized infrastructure

Benefits to the Public:
1. Quality education for students in remote areas
2. Availability of teachers and lab facilities as per need
3. No increase in fees for students; they'll receive quality education at their doorstep while college status will be the Public Sector College under HED.
4. This initiative is in the public's best interest, as in addition to the compulsory subjects, qualified faculty for market discipline subject will be available in remote areas for the first time.

Response to Teacher Concerns:
1. Outsourcing will only apply to low-performing colleges, with a maximum of five colleges as a pilot project.
2. There will be no service loss, no, reduction in sanctioned positions, and no effect on promotion prospects or removal from service for existing teachers.
3. The initiative will address the issue of teacher shortages.
4. The govt employees (Teachers) will be adjusted in the adjacent colleges within the same region.
5. The service provider will be paid based on KPIs to ensure quality of education, ensuring accountability. This is a much refined model of government initiatives like provision of missing facilities and Teachers/staff through ADP scheme.

Let's work together to improve our education system and provide quality education to our students and support this public centric initiative of the govt by dispelling false propaganda.
